True Damp Specialists exists because too many property owners receive conflicting explanations, spend money on work that does not solve the problem or are presented with major packages before the cause has been properly investigated.
A damp survey should help people understand what is happening, what it means and what their realistic options are. It should not leave them with more questions or a pre-selected treatment.
Our job is to make the findings and next steps clear before a client commits to work.

Rob has more than 25 years of experience across construction, main contracting, project management and property development. That experience spans ground and below-ground works, structure, the building envelope, internal delivery and defects remediation across residential, commercial and heritage property.
That experience does not replace specialist investigation. It provides context for it. The instruments provide information. Experience provides the context needed to interpret it.

What have we found?
We establish the evidence in the building and explain it clearly.
The aim is not to make a finding sound more complicated than it is, but to make it understandable.
Why is it happening?
The cause may relate to drainage, external ground levels, floor construction, roofing, rainwater disposal, ventilation, thermal bridging, salts, previous alterations or interacting factors.
That is why investigations consider the building, not only the area where moisture is visible.
What should happen next?
The report should help the client make the next decision.
Where the evidence is not sufficient to answer something reliably, we say that further investigation is needed rather than guess.
The objective is to help clients understand what we have found, why it is happening, what it means and what should happen next.
